stephanie is an experienced instructor in both classroom and workshop settings, as well as one on one. she is a skilled facilitator and enjoys the interplay of learning that happens between student and teacher in all settings.
VIDEO/FILM TEACHING EXPERIENCE
San Francisco School of Digital Filmmaking: Lead beginning level workshops on lighting design and production. On-set instructor for student shoots (narrative + documentary) . Teach and develop curriculum for video production with local high schools.
TILT (Teaching Intermedia Literacy Tools): TILT instructor. Teach narrative and documentary video courses. Example: Spring 2006 in East Oakland, working with 15 Cambodian and Vietnamese youth (ages 12-17) to produce and edit a short piece on police brutality.
QWOCMAP (Queer Women of Color Media Arts Project): Co-taught Introductory Film/Video course, Fall 2005. Class of 12, ages 18-25.
